Biography

Marçal is specialised in distributed systems and highly scalable, available & reliable real-time solutions. He has been designing and implementing Big Data & AI/ML projects in different countries.

As CTO at Hybrid Theory, Marçal is responsible for directing high-performance teams based in London & Barcelona and architecting & building systems using big data & machine learning algorithms that process +300M of events per day.

Previously Head of Data Engineering at AXA, Marçal was responsible for a large team of data engineers and scientists that used big data products to combat fraud, improve claims handling and how to best implement the IoT to enhance the customer experience.
